The school ground was transformed into a mini excavation site where Class 6 students became young archaeologists as part of their Social Science curriculum on excavations. A trench measuring 3 m × 1 m × 30 cm was carefully dug using simple tools like trowels and brushes.
As Class 6 students explored different soil layers, they discovered pottery pieces, stones, bricks, coins, grains, jewellery, and even a small skeleton. Each find added to their excitement and curiosity.
This activity helped Class 6 students gain a practical understanding of how archaeologists study the past, showing them how layers and objects reveal stories of earlier times.
